Our story
Campbell’s Animals is more than a shop – it’s the result of a lifelong journey surrounded by animals of every shape and size. I grew up on a family farm in rural Ireland, where early mornings were spent feeding hens, checking on calves, and helping care for everything from working dogs to wandering barn cats. That upbringing gave me a deep respect for animals and a belief that they deserve the best care we can give them.
When I later moved to Newcastle, I spent over eight years working in a local pet shop. There, I expanded my knowledge of domestic pets, from the nutritional needs of rabbits and guinea pigs to the enrichment that keeps dogs and cats happy and healthy. I learned what works, what doesn’t, and how much a little advice and the right products can make a difference in an animal’s life.
In starting Campbell’s Animals, I wanted to bring both worlds together – the heart and dedication of a small Irish farm with the practical knowledge and friendly service of a trusted pet shop. Whether you’re looking for a loyal companion for your home, a new addition to your farm, or the right supplies to keep your animals thriving, we’re here to help every step of the way. For us, it’s simple: happy animals make happy people.

Our history
From modest beginnings, we've grown through unwavering dedication and a commitment to continuous improvement. Each step has reinforced our core belief in the power of collaboration and the importance of integrity. We're passionate about what we do, and we're excited to share our story with you.
My love for animals began long before Campbell’s Animals was ever an idea – it started on my family’s farm in the Irish countryside. From an early age, I was involved in every part of farm life: bottle-feeding lambs in the spring, collecting eggs from free-range hens, herding cattle, and making sure the farm dogs were always ready for a day’s work. Life on the farm taught me responsibility, patience, and the importance of understanding each animal’s unique needs. It wasn’t just about raising animals – it was about building a bond with them, respecting the role they played in our lives, and ensuring they were healthy, comfortable, and well cared for in every season.
